Elder Ronald James began having prayer in the home in January 2003. The prayer meeting was organized to pray for the needs of individuals and families and intercede for their breakthroughs. God blessed this humble beginning and on the fourth Sunday in October 2005, Victory Church of Christ was birthed and was received as one of the member churches that make up the Pentecostal Followers of Jesus Christ International Ministries, Inc.

As the ministry grew, Pastor James began having bible class in his home along with noonday prayer and worship service on every first and third Saturday. On special occasions when we needed a larger space, Pastor Willie J. Best, Jr. and Ashland Missionary Baptist Church family, Bishop Anthony Terrell and Promiseland Church of Christ church family, and Pastor James Carolyn Wynn and First Gospel Tabernacle church family would open their doors and allow Victory to use their sanctuary to host our worship service.
God provided us with our own house of worship located at 1180 Big Mill Road. We held our first service in the new facility in June 2012. We started out renting to own and in August 2021, we purchased the building from the owner. We are here today in this building because of God and His favor. Our congregation is growing and we are looking to build a new sanctuary to accommodate the future growth. We thank God for blessing us throughout the years and praise Him in advance for the increase. We look forward as we continue to go higher and higher in the Lord.

Pastor Ronald Shelton James married Janice Fay Baker in May 1997. The happy couple have 3 anointed children affectionately known as Ronicia (Faith), Janielle (Hope) and Ashley (Charity).
​
Pastor James's work history includes retail experience, working factory inventory control, working with people with developmental disabilities, substitute teaching, student bus driver, etc. In his free time, Pastor James likes to do puzzles, problem-solving games, writing songs and drawing.
​
Pastor James loves the Lord and enjoys the work of the ministry no matter what form: music, preaching, pastoral, parenting, outreach, etc. He cares about the flock. He is a hands-on servant and is involved in whatever his hands find to do to further the body of Christ.

Associate Pastor
Associate Pastor Shelia Keyes
I greet everyone in the name of Jesus. I am Shelia Keyes and currently serve on the ministerial staff as Associate Pastor. I have been in the ministry for 40+ years. I am married to Elder Teddy Keyes and we have a son, Joseph Elias Keyes and daughter, Audria Shelise Keyes.

One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 27:1-4 "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.”
